Some people abandoned Moose, Nala, and their seven puppies at the Pope Memorial Humane Society shelter. The puppies were swiftly adopted, but Moose and Nala have not yet found their fur-ever homes.
Moose and Nala have already been at the shelter for nearly six months, but no one has expressed interest in adopting them.
Emily, the founder of Shelter A Day, heard the story of the two Pit Bulls, so she wanted to spend a few days with them to see why they have not been adopted.
Emily stated that most prospective dog adopters are often intimidated by Pit Bulls due to their size, muscularity, loudness, and intense play. Emily stated that people are intimidated by the Pittie’s loud grunts, but they do not realize that it is simply part of the breed’s personality.
Emily observed immediately how friendly Moose and Nala were as soon as they met. Emily reported that Moose and Nala continued to play together, and she could see how in love they are.
According to Emily, Moose and Nala are two energetic, affectionate Pit Bulls who desire nothing but attention. Emily explained that Moose and Nala were so close because they work so well together.
Emily believes that older dogs such as Moose and Nala are often overlooked because most people want their pets to experience the adorable puppy stage. Emily said, however, that Moose and Nala continue to act like puppies because they require constant babying.
Emily disclosed that Moose and Nala are dog-reactive and must be the only pets in the household. According to Emily, Moose and Nala are two fantastic dogs, so this should not be a problem, as they will lavish you with love.
Emily said that Moose and Nala were adopted together in the end. Emily expressed her happiness that they reside in the same house and will never be separated.
