It is always distressing to see owners neglecting and abandoning their dogs. Whatever the breed, all dogs deserve all the love in the world. Every dog deserves a family that will provide them with the best life possible.
Sadly, there are still individuals who do not consider dogs to be family members. Many individuals still see their dog as merely an animal that they may dispose of whenever they grow tired of it.
This is exactly what happened to a cute and charming pit bull named Indy.
Animal rescuers from the Indianapolis Animal Care Services discovered Indy, tied up in the midst of a forest. Indy was malnourished, appeared quite unwell, and lacked the will to live.
The dog was then promptly brought to a veterinarian, who diagnosed him with kidney failure.
Nobody expected Indy to live long with kidney failure, but animal rescuers from MCP Rescue found Scott and Anthony to be the ideal foster parents.
When the couple brought Indy home, he refused to eat anything else than steak. Scott and Anthony began cooking steak for Indy and feeding him by hand.
The couple also took Indy to the beach, where they discovered that he had recovered some life and personality. However, when they returned home, Indy had collapsed and lost consciousness.
Scott and Anthony took Indy to the emergency veterinarian, where they discovered a ball of cloth in his small intestine. The blockage in Indy’s tiny intestines caused his organs to begin shutting down, which originally led the veterinarians to believe he had kidney failure. Indy underwent immediate surgery to remove the obstruction. When Indy awoke, he felt immediately better, much to the relief of his fathers.
The procedure brought Indy back to life, and he is now a new dog. Indy began to play, but Scott and Anthony constantly reminded themselves to calm down because he has not totally recovered. Indy exhibited indications that he could be the ideal pet for Scott and Anthony.
Scott and Anthony chose to adopt Indy after introducing him to Godiva, their best friend’s Chihuahua. When Indy and Godiva met for the first time, they were instantly in love. The two dogs became friends because of their mutual fondness for cuddling. When Godiva comes to visit, Indy is always excited, and he even enjoys showering with his new best friend.
Indy’s miraculous recovery is because of the rescuers who found him and his new fathers who gave him a second opportunity at a family. Indy certainly deserves a permanent, loving home.
