Being involved in a car collision is a terrible thing to experience. Even if you may make it through unscathed, there are still a lot of things to deal with. And what if, on top of everything else, you also lost your beloved dog? That is a tremendous amount of burden to bear.
The loss of her dog nearly caused a Californian woman to lose her composure. Nevertheless, they were reunited. Her dog was healthy, but she endured a great deal.
Princess is a little, seven-year-old Terrier mix whose owner adores her. Whenever her human mother travels, Princess is typically by her side. Then one day, while driving in Berkeley on a highway, they were engaged in a catastrophic vehicle accident.
Due to the collision, the dog was ejected from her seat and flung outside the vehicle. Princess, frightened and confused, fled away.
Nobody understood how Princess arrived at Sacramento, some 80 miles distant from Berkeley, but she did. A homeowner discovered her walking the streets and brought her to the city-run Front Street Shelter in Sacramento.
The shelter employees immediately recognized that the dog was not a stray. The dog appeared to have a great deal of experience interacting with humans, as she was docile and friendly. She was scanned for a microchip, but the registered number was invalid.
Eventually, they were forced to place her for adoption. Surprisingly, despite her exceptional personality, no one wanted to adopt her. Which turned out to be a good thing.
The dog’s owner, who never gave up looking for her, was browsing the websites of every California animal shelter she could find. After a two-month search, she located her cherished pet at the Front Street Shelter.
She contacted the shelter officials immediately, and the two were reunited shortly thereafter.
