A lot of strays aren’t neutered and end up producing more puppies that eventually turn into stray dogs. Thankfully, some kindhearted people are willing to go the extra mile to save pregnant dogs and get the puppies adopted into loving forever homes. Doing so helps reduce the number of dogs living in the streets and also gives dogs a chance to live in loving forever homes.
A very pregnant pit bull that was later named Kaia was fostered by a man named Josh. Kaia was found by Josh’s friend wandering the streets, and Kaia looks like she was almost due to give birth. Thankfully, Kaia was rescued just in time, and Josh thought that it would be a great idea to foster a pregnant dog.
Josh soon discovered that Kaia is a super sweet dog that loves cuddling and interacting with people. Josh knew that Kaia was due to give birth soon. So, Josh set up a kiddie pool filled with blankets for Kaia to give birth in.
Aside from being a sweet dog, Kaia also turned out to be an amazing mama dog. Kaia eventually gave birth to a total of seven puppies. Unfortunately, one of the puppies got stuck in the canal. However, all six puppies made it, and Kaia was just an amazing mom to all her puppies.
Kaia never left the kiddie pool, and Josh would always make sure to bring Kaia food while she was nursing. Kaia’s puppies eventually grew up, and that’s when Kaia started moving around. Kaia’s puppies would not leave her alone and would always follow her around wanting food.
Kaia’s puppies grew up really fast, and Kaia switched from a nurturing behavior into a playful one where she chases around her puppies to play. Kaia even learned how to play with dog toys by watching her puppies. The puppies started getting adopted when they were at 16 weeks.
Once all Kaia’s puppies were adopted, Kaia started settling and relaxing. Kaia is such a fantastic dog to have, and Josh would adopt Kaia if he could. However, Kaia is reactive to other dogs, which meant that Josh couldn’t foster any more dogs in need if he decides to keep Kaia.
Josh wants a loving forever home for Kaia, where she’ll be the only dog. Josh also thinks that Kaia would do very well with children because of her nurturing behavior. Here’s an adorable video showing Kaia’s rescue and how great she would be for a family with children.
