All Rise!
We all know of the infamous Judge Judy. The reality court show airs in 1996, with Judge Judy Sheindlin at the helm. Anyone who’s seen the show knows she has a reputation for being tough.
She doesn’t play around in the courtroom, and her sharp mind is quick to dismantle fallacious arguments. If she sniffs out even a single fault in your presentation, you’ll receive a severe tongue lashing.
Her show is quite popular and hosts some rather unscrupulous individuals, making court sessions dramatic and humorous. Many stand before her utterly unprepared. Their negligence can be their folly, often influencing how Judy rules a case.

Roundabout testimony, incompetence, or in some instances, downright stupidity are surefire ways to get Judy ruling against you. But what would television be without these characters, who subject themselves to public ridicule? After all, we get a hearty laugh out of it.
But there is one particularly unique case. It involves an ownership dispute over a white poodle named ‘Baby Boy.’ Judge Judy decides she’ll let the dog choose between the plaintiff and defendant.
The plaintiff says Baby Boy belongs to him. The defendant’s counterclaim is she purchases the dog for $50 off the street. She also presents photos and paperwork before Judy, adding that according to her veterinarian, Baby Boy is a different age than what the plaintiff states.
But Judge Judy isn’t having any of it. She dismisses the discrepancy over the dog’s age as irrelevant. It’s up to Baby Boy to make the final decision.

The telltale moment has come. Baby Boy enters the courtroom. Judy’s verdict hangs on Baby Boy’s choice.
Baby Boy excitedly runs to the plaintiff, without any acknowledgment of the defendant. The defendant responds that this is just what Baby Boy always does. Who knows?
The situation is precarious. The dog’s choice is clear enough, and it is by this choice Judy rules in favor of the plaintiff. Case closed, right?
What do you think?
