It’s no secret that your dog misses you while you’re away. This is especially true when you are gone for a long time. Some dogs feel it more than others, therefore we must find ways to make them feel that we will be back and that they have not been abandoned.
When a member of the army reserve was deployed, he did something important for his dog at home.
Couple JD and Rachael Aument adopted Brindle from a Pennsylvania animal shelter, giving their dog Xander a new sibling. The attachment between Brindle and JD was really strong. This was the reason why Brindle was so annoyed and sad by JD’s deployment.
JD had to do his duties as a firefighter in the Army Reserve and relocate overseas for a while. The dog’s demeanor was completely affected by the agony of having to say goodbye to his greatest companion.
Although JD had been away for nine months, Brindle continued to beg for him. He never forgot his best friend, and he was frequently spotted waiting on the couch for his pal to return so they could play together.
JD searched for a solution to assist the reportedly melancholy dog, Brindle, after his wife informed him of the situation. This is when he had the brilliant idea of transferring his aroma inside his home using a piece of his soiled clothing, as this was the simplest technique.
He rummaged through his filthy clothing until he discovered the stinkiest item, then packed it up to send home. When Rachel finally presented Brindle with the stinking T-shirt, his grief evaporated, and he became the happiest dog in the neighborhood. This nasty present fascinated him so much that he carried it around for days. Rachel was required to convince the dog to don the shirt so that he wouldn’t have to drag it around.
This tiny action comforted Brindle that his closest friend was not departing him permanently. The dog and the rest of the family were spared a lengthy wait, since JD returned home a month later.
