Howard is a golden retriever and Labrador mix who loves to spend his time snoozing away. Only a handful of things can come between this low-key pup and a good nap.
When Howard dozes off, expect him to be in the most hilarious sleeping positions. And, now that his family spends more time at home, they get to appreciate his comical sleeping habit even more.
According to Howard’s mom, Kimberley Spencer, although her dog is almost 100 pounds, he seems to think that he is only 25 pounds. Howard’s body is about five feet long when he is stretched out on the bed, which is almost the same as Kimberly’s height.
When Howard is not dozing off, he likes to make a mess. He barrels into the house and knocks over everything that stands in his way. Kimberley said that Howard’s tail is like a weapon. She warns people about it because she knows how painful it is when it hits them.
When it is naptime, Howard looks so awkward. According to Kimberley, Howard loves stretching his legs straight out with his belly on the bed. His front paws or half of his body is on the furniture but not the other half. This has always been Howard’s sleeping habit since he was a puppy.
Back then, Kimberley thought that, eventually, Howard will outgrow his strange sleeping habit. However, he never did. It cracks Kimberley up to see her dog that way, so she said it is fine with her.
At daytime, Howard often sleeps with half of his body on the ottoman and his rear end off of it. Usually, his ball or toy duck is also sticking out of his mouth. Howard also tucks his feet under, making it look like he is kneeling.
Howard sleeps that way for hours, which makes his mom wonder how comfortable his position can be. Because of him, the family made an unwritten rule wherein the ottoman is off-limits to anyone who is not a dog.
Howard’s strange sleeping habit has brought so much joy to his loved ones. For them, he is the best addition to the family.
