With their friendly personalities and protective nature, it is no surprise that dogs can form unconventional friendships with just about anyone they meet. That is the story of this bulldog and his blind puppy friend, whose friendship warmed the hearts of people across the globe.
The two dogs met at the charity center of RSPCA in the UK. Between them, Sheeva, the American Bulldog, was the first to arrive at the shelter. She originally had an owner, but after they were evicted from their house, she was turned over to RSPCA.
The two-year-old pup had a hard time adjusting to shelter life at first. She was very wary of the shelter staff and tended to avoid human interaction. Eventually, she came to trust her handlers and transformed into the cheeky and playful pup she once was.
She is often seen playing with the other canine residents in the shelter and is generally a trusted friend to all of them. That was why when Paddy, the six-month-old blind dog, came to RSPCA, the shelter staff decided it was best to pair him with someone as friendly as Sheeva.
Little did they know that their friendship would blossom into something heartwarming. Within hours of meeting each other, the two had bonded like long lost friends.
Sheeva, who is typically a bouncy pup, became very gentle with the blind Paddy. She would help him navigate the yard and took extra care of him when playing. Paddy, on the other hand, was pleased to find a friend who would patiently guide him in his new surroundings.
They would often be seen running around in the yard, with Sheeva taking the lead. When Paddy stops and lays on the ground, Sheeva would immediately run to him in concern, and they would prance around the yard again together. Watch their adorable friendship here.
