Wilbur was nine months old when he was rescued by One More Dog Rescue. Nobody knows what he went through in his previous life. But it was undeniably difficult for a puppy like him.
Wilbur was terrified of everything around him when he became a part of a foster family. Fortunately, he was lovingly adopted by a foster family who showered him with love and patience while also assisting him in overcoming his issues. Because of this, Wilbur has turned into a completely different dog in just a few months and has become an official member of his family.
Wilbur’s mother, Kristin LaRoche, noted that everything simply scared him at first. He was scared of being outside the house. He was also terrified of the tiniest things and the faintest sounds. It doesn’t matter if the birds are chirping or the wind is blowing – the poor pup will cower in fear.
Now that he’s in a safe environment, he can’t get enough of being outside the house. He sniffs out anything that comes across his path as he explores every area of their yard. His desire to explore the outdoors goes a little too far at times.
The beautiful dog has recently shown an interest in digging holes all around their backyard. His mother, understandably, was not pleased. But that was before Kristin figured out the reason for Wilbur’s behavior.
Wilbur, unlike most dogs, does not dig holes at random and then leave them behind. He believed that he could put these holes to good use. As a result, he began sleeping in the holes he dug in the yard.
The first time Kristin saw Wilbur deep asleep in its hole, she couldn’t help laughing. He was simply passed out in the most amusing manner. Wilbur, on the other hand, was so still that Kristin needed to double-check that he was okay.
Wilbur had been in that posture for a long time, and Kristin had no idea how long he had been there. When she tapped the window that she was peering at to observe her dog, Wilbur quickly awoke and ran inside their home.
Wilbur’s family has filled up the hole to keep the yard safe and neat. But they have a feeling that as soon as Wilbur decides to take another snooze outdoors, another hole will appear in their backyard.
