For Belgian woman Conny Steyaert, who sells women’s apparel at outdoor markets and street fairs, every day should be the bring-your-dog-to-work day.
Her 8-year-old English bulldog, Nelson, wants to shake hands with every passerby, so the store may become very popular.
To reduce his anxiety, Nelson began to accompany Steyaert on her daily tasks. After a few days of their new journey, Nelson’s pet mom, Conny, discovered that the cute dog had begun shaking hands with bystanders.
Nelson’s mother claims that he is a susceptible dog. He is laid-back at home but loves spending time with his owner. He also enjoys having a great time outdoors.
So, instead of leaving Nelson alone at home, Steyaert brought him along. She set up a cozy blanket for him to enjoy the view while she was working.
As Nelson kept sitting still, the people walking by noticed him. He got their attention by being a good boy, keeping calm, and raising his paw for a handshake.
Nelson was in the business of stealing hearts daily, more than Steyaert expected. He was a head-turner. People who passed by either checked him out or petted him.
His fur mom, Steyaert, said she was amazed at how great, affectionate, and relaxed Nelson was with the people he came across at work. But she was more shocked by how people reacted toward Nelson.
Who would have thought passersby would pet a stranger’s pup so frequently?
With Nelson’s captivating personality, people took photos of him and even brought him treats.
Nelson gained best friends in the community, while Steyaert became known too. It’s a win-win situation for all.
