When a group of friends were enjoying a hiking excursion at Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride, Colorado, horrible events occurred. Blue, a three-month-old puppy belonging to one of the group members, fell 15 feet from the trail and became caught on a ledge.
The group of friends quickly sprung into action and resolved to do all possible to save the poor dog. It was on dangerous ground and they had to do something to make sure that it did not get hurt.
One of the group members descended to the edge of the cliff in order to grab the puppy should he tumble off the ledge. It was risky but it had to be done.
Another hiker, a 25-year-old woman from Denver, attempted to scale the cliff to reach the dog, but she lost her footing and plummeted 30 feet further down. Thankfully, the man waiting at the base of the cliff was able to catch her and prevent her from suffering major injuries.
As soon as local emergency personnel arrived at approximately 11:30 a.m., they took the woman to a hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The hiker who rescued the woman was also transported to the hospital, but he was promptly discharged because his injuries were minor.
A competent climber from the local police department was able to successfully rescue the puppy. The rescuer used rigged ropes to reach the puppy, who was subsequently harnessed and returned securely to his owner.
Everyone eventually had a nice finish to their narrative. The dog’s owner was extremely appreciative of his pals for risking their lives to save his cherished pet. Their friendship has gotten stronger than ever as a result of this gesture of generosity between them. However, the dog owner will likely reconsider bringing his dog on another high-altitude hiking trip.
