It is a really sad thing that some people are incapable of being responsible dog owners. Many abuse and neglect their pets.
Despite this, many of these dogs are still affectionate, and all they want is a loving family, despite the horrifying experiences they may have endured with the wrong owners.
A dog named Fawna was spotted living in a garbage container. Fawna was starving, and for three days, she survived just on garbage. Thankfully, she was found by local rescuers in Westmoreland County and was transported to a veterinarian’s office for treatment of any health issues she may have.
When Fawna first arrived at the veterinarian’s office, she was extremely malnourished and appeared skeletal.
The dog was unaware that her life was about to improve from that moment forward. One of the veterinary technicians, Megan Fritz, cared for Fawna and even brought her home to help her recover. In addition to providing Fawna with healthy food, her foster mother showered her with affection.
Megan developed affection for Fawna throughout the dog’s two-week stay with her, and the two created a close connection. Fawna and Megan became fonder of each other as each day went by, and the dog soon emerged from her shell.
After Fawna had fully recovered from her injuries, she was finally adoptable. Megan could not bear the thought of being separated from Fawna. So it was just right that Megan decided to adopt the dog that she had been caring for.
Fawna now appreciates belly rubs and cuddling with her new mommy. Megan and Fawna are currently inseparable, and Megan plans to train Fawna to become a therapy dog.
Fawna’s past may have been difficult, but Megan has given her the permanent home she deserves. The tale of Fawna is such an inspiration to all.
