If there’s a game that you think dogs might excel at, the first thing that comes to mind is most definitely hide-and-seek. Why? Well, because a dog’s nose can pick up the tiniest of scents that it will take them only a couple of seconds to find you, right? Wrong — dogs are in fact the worst when it comes to the game of hide-and-seek.
If you don’t believe us, then this featured video might just change your mind. The video below features a man and his dog playing a friendly game of hide-and-seek. With his beloved dog tailing him, he rushes to hide behind the open bedroom door. Not far behind, the dog could have sworn he saw his dad enter the bedroom.
The dog runs into the bedroom and looks around for his dad, but there’s no sign of him anywhere. The dog turns around, missing his dad by mere inches. He runs out to look for the man some more. The dog comes back into the bedroom a second time, again, narrowly missing his dad! How bad can you be at hide-and-seek?
The man tries his best to hold in his laughter as he sees the dog pass him despite his very obvious hiding location. For the third time, the dog attempts to enter the bedroom. He stops by the door as if he has picked up his dad’s smell by the door. He looks up at the door, confused.
The not-so-smart canine enters the bedroom and spends the next few seconds looking at the door. He can smell his dad by the door, but he’s not there! Finally, the dog investigates further and approaches the door. To his surprise, his dad is hidden behind it.
If you were to play hide-and-seek with your canine friend, how long do you think it would take him/her to find you? Watch the video below to see how long it took this dog to find his dad.
