Elizabeth is a dog-lover who fostered rescue dogs from the local animal shelter, Love of All Dogs Rescue. When she saw Cochi, a pit bull with a sad appearance, she knew she had to help.
Cochi remained calm as Elizabeth carried her home to foster her. The dog was apprehensive about being in a new setting, so she sniffed every area of the house before settling down on the floor.
That same evening, Elizabeth’s dog Sinatra came to see Cochi, but Cochi felt intimidated and bit Sinatra. Elizabeth was surprised and quickly considered placing Cochi in a different foster home.
Once Elizabeth had regained her composure and came to her senses, she recognized that Cochi was possibly overwhelmed and had not yet recovered from past trauma. Elizabeth decided to retain Cochi and give her a second chance after reassessing the scenario.
Elizabeth was still concerned that Cochi could retaliate against Sinatra and become violent again, so she decided to get the dog a muzzle. The woman realized that despite the hostile incident, Cochi might still learn to befriend other dogs.
The woman devoted the next few weeks training Cochi. When she was satisfied with Cochi’s development, she gradually reintroduced her to Sinatra. Fortunately, Cochi and Sinatra got along well this time and proceeded to play with each other without any untoward incidents.
As Cochi and Sinatra became closer, Cochi’s confidence in dealing with other canines increased. Cochi enjoyed going on walks with Sinatra because it provided them the opportunity to meet and play with other dogs.
Thanks to Elizabeth and Sinatra, Cochi developed into a more self-assured and gentler dog. A caring family quickly applied to adopt him and pledged to provide him with the life she genuinely deserves.
Here’s to you, Cochi! We hope you are living the best life!
