Henry Friedman, a rescue advocate, used to spend his days traveling across the country. He lived in his van and went on adventures every day. He explored a lot of beautiful places and met a lot of people.
What he did was great, but over time, it turned old and just ended up tiresome. He needed to know what his purpose was in life. He didn’t have any clue until he adopted Finn.
Finn was a one-month-old puppy rescued by Sato Project in Puerto Rico. He was hiding in the bush surrounded by trash when the rescuers found him. He probably came from an unwanted litter and was abandoned onsite shortly after he was born.
When Finn joined Henry, the puppy had a full life ahead of him. But while he thought his dad rescued him, he did a lot more for him. He was the reason he finally understood what it meant to live a meaningful life.
Within a few months since rescuing Finn, a lot of things changed in Henry’s life. He traveled with his puppy, like how he used to, only this time, he did it with a purpose. He discovered how great it was to have a rescue dog in his life, and so, he decided to pay it forward simply by giving back to the community.
As Henry and Finn traveled the country, they started collaborating with local rescue groups. They help educate people about the significance of rescuing animals and celebrate the work of everyone who dedicates their life to this good deed.
The duo visited Puerto Rico, where Finn originally came from and held a spay-neuter program on Native American reservations. Afterward, they proceeded to Mexico, where they met Barb, a woman who runs a local rescue group. They worked together and managed to get four young puppies into safety.
Besides doing volunteer work, Henry and Finn donate every cent they raise on Patreon to various local rescue groups each month. It’s one way of showing their support to the amazing community of animal rescuers.
