We lose a part of ourselves whenever our pets cross the rainbow bridge. While we’ve long accepted the fact that we’d outlive them, it doesn’t make things any less painful. In our attempt to process our grief, we try to relive our memories with them and look around for signs that will tell us that they’re in a much better place than before.
Once we see these signs, we get the assurance that our pets are happy wherever they may be. We also take these signs as a final goodbye to our fur babies, which is why these things are always emotional. There’s this sense of comfort and assurance that there’s nothing our furry angels want more than for us to move on and be happy with our lives.
A message from heaven
When 14-year-old Sunny crossed the threshold last June, her owner, Lucy Ledgeway, only asked for one thing. She begged that the universe would give her a sign or some sort of reassurance that her baby’s alright wherever she may be. Ledgeway made sure she was quick to find these signs.
The heavens heard the 19-year-old’s prayers and granted her the very thing she was asking for. Hours after Sunny died, Ledgeway saw the Parson Russel Terrier’s adorable face in the sky. The clouds were placed so accurately; it seemed like they were placed on purpose so they would look like Sunny’s portrait.
A special moment
While seeing her baby’s face in the clouds sent Ledgeway crying, she still made sure to thank God for answering her prayer. Knowing that Sunny was having a grand time up there gave her peace of mind. Ledgeway took a photo of Sunny’s face in the clouds and shared it with everyone on Twitter. The post has more than 101,000 likes as of writing.
