Based in Nova Scotia, Canada, Baie St. Joey Wagner owns Marie Animal Shelter. Mr. Wagner is a fantastic man with a heart for rescuing unfortunate pups. He has already saved several pups, many of which have found their forever homes.
He rescued one of the animals and was more fortunate than the others, becoming Wagner’s forever fur buddy. Yes, Mojo, a pit bull, was saved by Wagner and is now a part of his family.
Wagner’s first meeting with Mojo saw the dog in a miserable state. He was with his then-owner and was in an inferior living condition. Seeing the severely malnourished Mojo, Wagner knew something was wrong, so he investigated Mojo’s case.
Upon further investigation, Wagner discovered that Mojo was a victim of animal abuse and cruelty. He was a bait dog. Wagner knew that he needed to end his miserable life in Mojo, so he and his team rescued him from the abusive environment.
Mojo was sent to an animal clinic so a veterinarian could treat him. During Mojo’s treatment, which lasted for several weeks, everyone was half-expecting that the dog would not be able to recognize his rescuer anymore should they meet again. After all, they only saw each other once during the day of the rescue.
But then, when Mr. Wagner visited him, the energetic pup immediately recognized him, and he gave him a hot welcome. He knew right away that Wagner was his savior. Mojo might have been happy that Wagner would be his new dad.
