Goliath and his three siblings share numerous similarities. All of them have a tail, four legs, and fur-covered bodies. Despite these similarities, it is easy to identify Goliath when he is with his brothers. And that is because he really stands out from the rest of his siblings.
What is interesting about the relationship between Goliath and his siblings is the fact that they all belong to different species. Everyone else is a dog, but Goliath is the sole cow. And despite this huge difference, the three dogs treat Goliath as though he were also a dog. In fact, they have convinced him that he is also a dog!
It was on a dairy farm that Goliath’s mother gave birth to him. He was slated for execution, but a woman named Shaylee Hubbs intervened and saved his life. She rescued Goliath and transported him to her family’s Danville, California ranch.
During his time at the ranch, the cow was able to form close bonds with the family’s dogs. He would hang around with them, eat, bathe, sleep, and play beside them. All of these bonding finally caused him to assume that he, too, was a dog. That’s not surprising since he grew up with them around and spent endless hours with them.
According to Shaylee, the cow would observe everything that his brothers did. He would attempt to mimic their eating and drinking habits. Goliath would also imitate the way the dogs would snuggle up in their beds. He would replicate everything!
Goliath is no longer the feeble and depressed calf he was when he first came to the ranch. Currently, he is content, healthy, and enjoying his best life. Goliath cherishes the affection of Shaylee’s family, despite having to share space with his three canine brothers and other farm animals.
