Dogs loved being part of a family, where they get accepted in a circle of trust and harmony. They are social creatures that slowly adapted to the ever-changing world we lived in. That’s why dogs usually thrived in environments where they explored freely yet remained within the protection of their chosen home.
One specific doggy named Mako showed the online world how he found his own family, no matter how unconventional it appeared to others. His adoptive parents, Bethany and Samantha Castiller, got him from an animal shelter and planned to introduce him gradually to their cats at home. They wondered whether Mako would fit in with their felines, making plans that brought them together without the unnecessary drama.
As it turned out, the couple shouldn’t have worried after all. They found that Mako was already used to cats. Based on his behavior, they realized he was so comfortable around them that he thought he was a cat himself!
Happily, Mako performed cat antics with his new siblings. Mako and the cats were often found on top of counters or cupboards, and even the fridge. He adored his feline pack that he stuck to them like bees to honey.
The huge pitbull spent all his time with his cat buddies. He slept and cuddled with them, ate meals together, and explored their owner’s house all day. He followed them wherever they went, quickly adapting their likes and dislikes.
Bethany and Samantha speculated that Mako probably grew up with cats in his former home, which was why he developed their mannerisms and behaviors. It was truly incredible to witness how this lumbering dog leaped over tables and counters with surprising ease and grace. Even the cats sensed that Mako was one of them and accepted the big pit bull into their fold.
