Nuka grew up with a house full of tiny critters as siblings. So when he met a rat named Blue, Nuka knew exactly how to be the best big brother.
Nuka and company
Dogs are social beings, and they can easily make friends with different species. Take Nuka, for example. Nuka is a dog who lives with his mom, Nicole Yates. Nicole is an animal enthusiast, and she cares for birds, chicken, gerbils, cats, and rabbits, among others.
Nuka is amazingly loving and patient towards his siblings from another species. When Nuka was a younger pup, his vet commented that he seemed to think more maturely. Not only does he live in harmony with all the other animals at home, but he also treats them all with love and kindness.
One day, Nicole took home another family member. The local pet shop where Blue used to live needed to rehome him quickly when the government mandated the shutdown of non-essential businesses in the middle of the Coronavirus crisis. Nicole found Blue and willingly took him home.
Best big brother
Blue was a little scared of his new environment, but Nuka was there to make him feel welcome. As the days went by, Nuka and Blue bonded even more. Blue specifically loves snuggling against Nuka’s thick coat.
Since Blue has become more comfortable being with Nuka, the tiny rat showed his naughty side. Sometimes he runs over Nuka’s body like it’s an obstacle course. But Nuka remains relaxed. Indeed, Nicole trained him on how to play nice with the smaller creatures.
Although Nicole has adopted a couple of rats over the years, she says Blue seems to be more special for Nuka. Nuka loves to bathe Blue with wet licks, and Blue seems to enjoy every moment.
Nuka’s siblings look up to him with much love and respect. Blue, in particular, seems smitten with his canine best friend, and we can see why. He’s the best biog brother one can ask for.
