Dogs aren’t just known to be loyal to their owners. They can be loyal to their toys, too, as long as they hold a special place in their hearts. Just like this three-year-old Dachshund named Pickles, who couldn’t live without his stuffed chicken drumstick, “Nug Nug.”
Ever since Pickles’s mom, Rebekah, gave him the toy as a Christmas gift, Pickles could not go anywhere without it. He even sleeps with his little Nug Nug beside him every night and plays with it during the day. It has become his best friend and most beloved companion.
Sadly for Pickles, Nug Nug became dirtier as the days passed by, so it needed a little cleaning. However, it wasn’t easy for Rebekah to get the toy away, but she was able to come up with a good strategy. She had to distract the pup with some yummy treats so that she would be able to snatch his precious little nugget away.
Once the Dachshund was busy munching on his food, Rebekah was quick to take the toy and put it into the washing machine. At first, she thought it was a successful mission, but moments later, Pickles appeared. Just as the washing machine was about to start, he spotted Nug Nug and threw a tantrum right there and then.
Like a little kid, Pickles cried and pawed at the washing machine miserably. He was determined to save Nug Nug as he tried to sniff around the machine door, attempting to look for a way to open it. But he failed, so he was left there to whine in protest.
Finally, when the cycle had finished, Rebekah opened the door with Pickles anxiously waiting beside her. He only touched the toy with his nose, afraid that he wasn’t allowed to take it yet. Seconds later, he hurriedly picked it with the happiest expression on his face that said, “I’ve reunited again with you, Nug Nug.”
