Elaine Seamans set up the At-Choo Foundation with the intention of rehoming rescued dogs. She never imagined she would be part of a dog rescue program since her job was to run the organization. However, she did so and it was a successful one.
One day, Elaine observed a dog attempting to cross a hazardous Los Angeles street as she navigated through the city’s traffic. It was dangerous since automobiles were rushing by and the dog could be struck at any moment. As her usual reaction, Elaine stopped her vehicle and attempted to assist the dog.
Since cars were rushing from all directions, it proved difficult for Elaine to achieve her objective. But she never gave up. Another passerby even offered her assistance. Fortunately, the dog was unharmed when Elaine finally rescued him.
The dog, which Elaine called Butterscotch, was brought to her animal shelter. The woman did not know where else to take the dog, so she believed Butterscotch would be a good fit at the shelter.
Elaine scanned the dog for a microchip when they arrived at the shelter so that she could return him to his owner. The woman soon found out that the dog was a stray after calling the police station. She also discovered that the canine did not have a microchip.
With this situation on her hands, Elaine had no choice but to adopt the puppy. The woman then sought assistance from her friend, Laura Dash. Laura is the creator of Adopt Me Rescue, and Elaine believed that Butterscotch would do best under Laura’s supervision. Laura did not hesitate to open her door to the unfortunate dog.
Before departing Elaine’s shelter, Butterscotch gave the woman a final hug. Since this happened, the dog has never stopped giving out hugs to everyone.
When Butterscotch arrived at his new foster home, Laura received a loving embrace from the dog, as well.
