In a village located about 20 miles outside of a city in Ukraine, a pregnant stray dog gave birth to three amazing puppies in a wasteland. Despite their condition, she did great raising her babies. Thanks to some kind humans, too, they got a place of their own and even a cute little doghouse that sheltered them from the rain and the heat of the sun.
Some locals felt pity for the dogs so they brought them food and water any time they could. Others made sure the puppies didn’t run off the nearby road. There are a few people, however, that despised the furry family and they threatened to poison them.
Worried that they might just find the dogs lifeless one day, compassionate neighbors agreed to call for help. And so, they searched for anyone who could take the dogs to a safer place. It took a little while but eventually, one of them made contact with Olena Pyanov.
Olena is the head rescuer and founder of the local animal rescue group known as Love Furry Friends. She works with a few other volunteers and runs the shelter merely by donations. She understands the need of every homeless animal and she never thinks twice about helping them.
Onsite, the momma dog immediately spotted the rescuer so it walked toward her and greeted her with a happy tail wag. It probably understood that she was there to help her and her three little girls. It did not hesitate to let her touch its puppies, either.
As Olena scooped up the puppies one by one and placed them in a travel crate, a man showed up. He said he fed the dogs every day to make sure they didn’t starve. He was more than willing to continue caring for them but he knew they’d have a better shot at life with the rescue team so he said goodbye and wished them a happy life.
The momma dog and her puppies all received medical attention and they were all in excellent health, all thanks to the residents who took care of them. So before long, they began their search for their forever homes.
Two of the puppies found their new homes first. Shortly after, the third one also found her happy ending. And once the momma dog recovered from her spay surgery, she, too, joined her adoptive family.
