Kristofer Goldsmith and his wife had been wanting to adopt a dog. They wanted to have a small type of dog, like a dachshund. A small pup would be accessible as a traveling companion or an office buddy.
One day, while on the way to work, Goldsmith saw a dog running down the street wearing something colored white and blue. He immediately stopped his car and got out to inspect closer. He realized that the dog was wearing pajamas and seemed lost.
When he approached the pup, it looked frightened but did not resist when Goldsmith got hold of him. Feeling pity, he brought the nervous dog to his truck and used a parachute cord as a makeshift leash. This way, he can hold the pup while walking as they try to find its owners. They have been walking for quite a while, but the dog has not recognized any house nor walked into any porch that might seem familiar to him.
Goldsmith then decided to just bring the dog to his work. While on the truck, the pup comfortably snuggled up to its temporary dad. Goldsmith found a rabies vaccine tag on the dog’s neck with a number. He called the number but the person who answered only told him that the dog is eight months old and was named Frosting. She would not give the identity of the dog’s owner due to privacy policy. The number belongs to the clinic that gave the vaccines.
To find the owner, Goldsmith posted on Twitter about the lost dog. He also left a message with the clinic to inform the dog’s owner. Despite his attempts to look for the parents, nobody has come forward to claim Frosting. Meantime, the pup has proven to be a good work buddy and partner. The dog is quite clingy and would never leave Goldsmith’s side. It would either be on his feet or his lap. It follows whatever and wherever Goldsmith does and goes.
In the short time that Frosting had been with him, Goldsmith has learned to appreciate its constant presence. They have bonded very quickly. He said that even his wife would be heartbroken if Frosting left them. Hopefully, the dog will forever become a member of the family.
